Order of MeritThe Southern Valley Order of Merit is to find the most consistent golfer at the club each year. The year runs from October through to September, with points being allocated to players finishing in the leading positions in club competitions. There are 21 qualifying competitions, and at the end of the year the final order of merit will be decided by taking each players best 14 events out of the total of 21. The winner will claim the Order of Merit perpetual trophy. There are also prizes for the runner-up and third placed player. These will be presented at the annual awards dinner. The updated Order of Merit will be displayed on the notice board at the club throughout the season. Points Allocation Monthly MedalsPoints will be allocated to the first ten places in both the A and B Division monthly medals. The allocation is as follows. 1st-20 2nd-15 3rd-13 4th-11 5th-9 6th-7 7th-5 8th-3 9th-2 10th-1 Trophy TournamentsThese tournaments are as follows. Three Clubs & Putter. Singles Tombstone. This is a 36 hole event, The Club Championships.
