Playing & Dress Code

We do not require visitors to have a handicap certificate, but we do monitor the standard of play on the course. If, in the club’s judgement, any visitor is deemed to be of insufficient standard, then Southern Valley reserve the right to ask them to cease playing. The relevant green fee would be refunded.

The club operate a standard dress code which is the same for the course and clubhouse. Collared golf shirts and tailored trousers or shirts must be worn. T-shirts, football shirts, denims, track suits or sports shorts are not permitted.

For the benefit of all players, Southern Valley requests that golf shoes are fitted with soft spikes. This ensures that the greens are kept in excellent condition.

All visitors must play at an acceptable speed. 9 holes should be completed in a maximum of 2 hours and 18 holes in no more than 4 hours.

Players must replace divots on the course, repair pitch marks on the greens and must rake bunkers after they have played their shots.

Any visitor using a pull trolley or a motorised buggy must keep them at least 5 metres from all tees and greens.

We hope to see you at Southern Valley and that you enjoy your visit.
